Environmental Information
Electrical Equipment Act
Information on Section 17 of the ElektroG (Take-Back Obligations for Distributors):
We do not have retail space, storage space, or shipping space for electrical and electronic equipment that is at least 400 square meters in each case. We therefore have no take-back obligation under Section 17(1) of the ElektroG. We also do not voluntarily accept returns of used equipment. Please contact your city or local government to find out about free drop-off options for used equipment in your area.
Information pursuant to Section 18 of the ElektroG (Information for Private Households):
The symbol of a crossed-out trash can on an electrical or electronic device indicates that it must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its useful life. Collection points for waste electrical and electronic equipment are available in your area for free return. You can obtain the addresses from your city or local government office. You can also contact us to learn about additional return options we have established. The separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment is intended to facilitate reuse, material recycling, or other forms of recovery of such equipment, as well as to prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health resulting from the disposal of hazardous substances that may be contained in the devices. You are responsible for deleting any personal data that may be present on the waste devices to be disposed of. For more information, please visit www.elektrogesetz.de.
Battery Act
Information pursuant to Section 18 of the Battery Act (BattG) (Information for End Users):
The crossed-out trash can symbol on batteries or rechargeable batteries indicates that they must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of their useful life. If batteries or rechargeable batteries contain mercury, cadmium, or lead, you will find the respective chemical symbol (Hg, Cd, or Pb) below the crossed-out trash can symbol. You are legally required to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. You can do this free of charge at a retail store or at another collection point near you. You can obtain addresses of suitable collection points from your city or local government. Further information is also available online at https://www.batteriegesetz.de/.
Waste Management Officer
Information regarding Section 2 of the Waste Management Officer Regulation (obligation to appoint a waste management officer):
With regard to our manufacturer obligations to take back used electrical or electronic equipment, used batteries, and used packaging, we have commissioned suitable third parties who already have their own waste management officers. To the extent that we voluntarily take back additional waste categories, the calendar-year limits specified in Section 2(2)(i) of the AbfBeauftrV are not exceeded. Therefore, there is no obligation to appoint an in-house waste management officer pursuant to Section 2 of the AbfBeauftrV.
